Direct Download Link Google Drive (DDLGD)

Have you ever wondered about how to create a direct download link for a Google Drive file? Because it is definitely a problem when you make Google Drive the only place to store your resource files, then you want to share them with the public via the web or blog.

In fact, the characteristic of the share link generated by Google Drive is that you need to open the source file first in the Google Drive preview before there is a download option. So what if we make it shorter without having to preview the source file first?

Make sure your file visibility in Google Drive is set to "Anyone with the link". If it is set to "Restricted" then only people who are signed in to Google and have been granted access to the file will be able to open the direct link (which may not be what you want).

This will only work for files you UPLOAD to Google Drive. It will not work for documents, presentations, etc. created inside Google Docs/Drive. If you want to create a direct link to it, download it to your computer first and then upload it back to Google Drive.

The pattern is in this section:

BASE_URL/ uc?export=download&id= YOUR_FILE_CODE

Here is the build link for direct download of Google Drive that I used for my blogcepot at that time.

//google drive
https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download & id=YOUR _ FILE _ CODE

//google docs
https://docs.google.com/uc?export=download & id=YOUR _ FILE _ CODE
